Who gives a damn about the Kardashians and WHY?

I do not watch the show but hear about it all the time from other people and even supposedly real ‘news‘ shows. Who frickin cares, why do people care about these spoiled rich, no talent brats? Why don’t they do something worthy with their luck of being blessed to be born into wealth…like helping the poor, teaching people or helping people to live green to help save the planet, raising money for research to cure cancer, aids or any other catastrophic disease? Anything except their self indulgent life of self promotion. They are right down there with Paris Hilton, and all the dozens of other stupid reality “stars” with no talent. The world climate and environment is in crisis, we need to get some kind of health INSURANCE reform, people are dying for wars over OIL when we should be conserving our water because that is what will be the next cause of war…very soon. Alternative energy options, green jobs…..If you think I am wrong, just Google H.A.A.R.P. Is Obama keeping his promise to bankrupt the coal industry?

In 2008, Sen. Barack Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle that he planned on intentionally bankrupting the coal industry. He said the following:

“Let me sort of describe my overall policy,” Obama began. “What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.”

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted,” Sen. Obama said further. “That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.”

Remember also that, in addition to bankrupting the coal industry and effectively putting thousands out of work, under his plan of a cap and trade system, Obama promised that “electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket”?

So instead of using cap and trade, is Obama using the EPA to achieve his goal?

there you go. as oil would be sold on world market it is now obviously clear opec will do whatever they can to manipulate the price to their likings. seriously if oil is drilled in the US opec will just continue to slash their production so prices will go nowhere.

i just hope world leaders might actually start to invest in alternative energy properly so we’re no longer held to ransom by oil and oil producing countrys
no id rather al gore had won and we’d all be driving hyrdo carbon or electric cars by now and paying about 10c a litre to do so in petrol terms

personally i don’t mine that the tax credit killed them because as a conservative i say if you cant swim you sink however liberals beloved EU put huge tariffs on them so i feel sorry for them in that respect

that being said its the liberals that so desperately wanted us off OPEC and whine about “peak oil”
and i kinda agree with them on getting off OPEC one of these days and bio fuels would have been a step in that direction

my final q isn’t new alternative energy more important than health care on a strategic level
yet the story makes it clear by 2022 we will be no where close to getting off foreign oil
your thoughts on Obama not being serious on this issue yet has been throwing around money like its no tomorrow :/
