Your Questions About Green Living

Michael asks…

Unconstitutional use of alternative energy patents?

Many oil companies hold patents to technology which would lead to alternative energy, and refuse to sell the rights to or use or develop this technology because it would cut into their oil profits. In addition they are hoarding it up for when the oil is gone, or when we finally wise up and ban its use in everyday civilian transportation. Is this unconstitutional?

James asks…

We have developments in the sphere of the alternative energy sources and we want to use these developments.?

We already have an experimental (table) model of the engine (mechanism) indicated, but in order to make large prototype efficiently worker and that manufacturing electricity in large quantities, they are necessary to investment and not small – and our own means do not be sufficient. We decided to make a proposal to the interested companies or to individuals, on advantageous longitudinal principles to participate in the completion of project. On our calculations for the production (building) of prototype will be required from $ 100 000 to $ 150 000. rasinant@mail.am

How would you like to promote an alternative energy lifestyle and make money at it?

This is a theoretical question. I believe there are a lot of people who would like to do something to help the envoironment and make a positive contribution, but they don’t know how they could afford to make a real tangible contribution. They are just struggling along financially themselves. Suppose you could join an “Ecological-Network” and have an opportunity to simply talk about viable alternatives in energy systems and lifestyle and make money when the people you talk to also join the Eco-Network? There are no minimum purchases, no inventory, no recurring monthly purchases, no financial obligations of any kind (I hate that kind of stuff). It would be simple….you join by purchasing a “T” shirt or ball cap, coffee mug, or bumperstickers (your choice). They all say something like…”I drive on Nuclear Fusion (Sun Power) Ask me how”. or, “There are homes that use no fossil fuel for heating or cooling, ask me about it.” When someone you spoke to joins, you get a referral fee. If they enroll someone, they get a referral fee and so do you, etc. through five levels of referrals. The “T” shirts, coffee mugs, ball caps, bumper stickers are all about alternative zero energy homes and electric cars and solar panels. There are companies who offer these alternatives to the public. The “plot” is to make these alternatives known to more people. When someone who joined the Eco-Network found someone who bought from one of the companies, that person and all his referres above him would get a “finder’s fee” based on the value of the sale. You help connect people who are in a position to make a tangible difference in their purchases with an alternative product company. Does that sound like a concept that you think people would be interested in supporting? I just want some input on the “idea” the “Eco-Network” does not exist at this time. www.isomax-az.com has a start on this idea, but there are no “T” shirts, etc. available yet…it’s just an idea…What do you think of the idea?

The Expert answers:

Not too sure about the fees. Perhaps a concept based on grass roots would be a better network.
Those who can afford to maintain their currant life styles, despite the economy will. Those who can not, will make cuts in their life styles. It is those in between, who are wise enough to know that actual and factual, independence from electric company monopolies, fuel demands and rising costs, plus the economy in the gutter, that you would have the best luck to reach.
I would do it. I did it for a county agency, cleaning up other people’s messes. And promoting a greener life style to children through their schools, scouts and churches.
Maybe, a straight purchase or a donation could be done instead of a finder’s fee. Instead of things that will end up in a land fill, maybe something like the bags they sell at local stores for your groceries, or recycling bags…

Susan asks…

Should we invest in renewable energy and alternative fuels?

Lawmakers only focus on these high gas prices. I think they should look into investing funds into renewable energy and alternative fuels.

This is the only way we can successfully become energy independent. And these fossil burning fuels are ruining the environment.

For example they could put _______ billion dollars into automobile companies so they could lower the cost of hybrid cars, and _____ billion in the production of these vehicles.

The Expert answers:

Yes, we need to make a significant investment in alternatives to fossil fuels.
