Anyone know of Safe EFFECTIVE Alternative to Flea bomb?Used natural exterminator..still have some fleas.HELP!?
I hate chemicals in the house so we had a natural exterminator used mostly eco friendly materials. They’re still here! I have a 2 yr old that crawls and jumps all over so I’m concerned about the residue left behind by flea bombs. Not a bad infestation (a few jump in the bowl of water w/light @ night)but I don’t want it to turn into one.Our dog was given flea baths and has the chemical on him so he’s fine…
We are leaving on vacation for 2 wks and were considering flea bombing the house as we leave.Don’t want a takeover while we’re gone!I’m concerned about the chemical residue left on everything like clothing bedding dishware etc… (we’d take the toys all out of the house)etc what is the best protocol or any alternative ideas or solutions?

Use dawn dishwashing soap on your dog if he has fleas on him. Vacuum every day with flea powder to get fleas of the carpet

Do You Like The New “Hipster” Trend?
To sum it all up in a basic sense, a “Hipster” is a witty smartass who is against anything popular or mainstream. As far as style goes, it usually consist of plaid, certain glasses, side-swept hair, tight jeans, and converse or some type of non-label clothing. Small assets to the Hipster personality is usually drinking a lot of coffee, listening to bands no ones heard of, hating bands that everyones heard of, being sarcastic and smart, riding bicycles instead of driving, some are eco–friendly, most are very skinny.
If you disagree with the above, then go **** yourself.
What do you think of the new trend?

The Expert answers:
Yeah hipster isn’t really going against mainstream because they’re conforming to a group of popularised people, which makes them mainstream really…
Trends altogether are 100% bullcrap…just be yourself, how hard can it possibly be for those people to do that.

About how much do closet organizational systems cost?
I have two closets. The first is rather small and holds my suitcases, book bags, totes…etc. as well as my accessories such as scarves and hosiery. The second is a walk in closet that holds my clothing. I’ve been thinking about having someone come in and install an organizational system/help me organize my closets as there never seems to be enough room for all my stuff.
I’m not really concerned about using eco–friendly materials…my main concern is the cost. Would anyone who has had one of these systems installed before give me some information about the cost? I’m basically looking for a general idea of what a project like this would run me.
Please no links/ads. and no chat speak.
Thanks in advance.

Check with your local home improvement stores. I know Home Depot does that here. They can help you design the space and install it and give you an accurate quote.
I’ve installed one of their shelving kits (around $40 each at the time) in several closets in my home. The kit fits a wall 5 to 8 feet long.

help with a kids grade five project???
shes got to make a diagram of a eco friendly house.. outdoor and indoor.. e.g a clothe line in the backyard saving energy from using the dryer.. i need a list of other things to make it a eco friendly house.. thanks
she’s got to be able to make these things.. by using a big cardboard box as the house and to be able to put this all in the house and or outside for everyone to understand what it all is..

Fifth grade kid huh?
Big windows to let in more natural light
having a small rectangular slot cut out on top of the wall so hot air escapes through it and cold air will replace it from windows.
Rain water harvesting. Rain water that collects on the terrace or that trickle down ur inclined roof can be used for domestic purposes.
Man fifth grade is tough..
I can think of excercise cycles that also serve as a generator, wind turbines, solar heater, solar cooker, gobar gas generators etc.. But kids that age will find it hard to comprehend.

How to help people in poverty when buying clothes… ?
I am in need of some new clothes… I am trying to be more Eco friendly and thinking about others. I hate wasting food etc. because I know there are people who need it. I saw a commercial for (I think) PayLess shoes and they said if you bought one pair then another pair would be donated to a needy child and I thought that if they did this with shoes where could I find places/sites that do this with all clothes….
My question is: What are these sites?
also… I am giving my clothes to good will but I wear my clothes so much that they have holes in them, accidentally get bleached, or stained up because of my sloppy cooking so its hard to even donate them
The Expert answers:
Well, I believe the best thing to do is to not buy clothes in exchange for giving clothes, but simply donating them to the GoodWill. :]
