I need to find a graph or date showing how much renewable energy the states of Australia uses, for example Darwin – 38%

Please help, been looking for ages

The Expert answers:

Hi Dear,
Fossil fuel products dominate Australian energy consumption and this will remain the situation for the foreseeable future. Australia’s dependence on fossil fuels is heightened by the fact that electricity is largely produced in coal-fired power stations; approximately 84% of electricity for Australian homes and industry comes from coal and 12% from renewables, mainly hydroelectricity.

The Expert answers:

Pretty much the same as the EU’s as far as I can tell:
“steal $250 billion of your money, spend it on crap, destroy the landscape, raise taxes and deprive your children of an economic future.”
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/jamesdelingpole/100079237/aussie-sceptics-destroy-eu-carbon-commissioner/

“our Government wants to see us spend £100billion on building 10,000 more turbines, plus another £40billion on connecting them all up to the grid.

According to the electricity industry, we will then need to spend another £100billion on those conventional power stations to provide back-up — all of which adds up to £240billion by 2020, or just over £1,000 a year for every household in the land.”

We need to forget them, and instead use Thorium based Nuclear reactors (Which are ALOT safer than the ones currently in use):

Susan asks…

What kind of money can someone make with an AAS in renewable energy?

Im thinking of going to school to get an associates of applied sciences degree in renewable energy. I was just wondering what kind of money someone with that would make.

The Expert answers:

If you own a degree – or any extra qualification – then you’ll already be ahead of the crowd when it comes to hunting for vocations. My mate has a degree and he wasn’t certain what direction to go with it, but he unearthed some good instruction on the site in the resource box below which guided him to decide that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is lots of guidance on the site regarding extra vocations.
